Transparent fees are a very important part of our business. We feel that it is important that you get no surprises.
A guide to how much your accounting will cost:

GST Return preparation & filing: $125 - $300

PAYE Return preparation & filing: $100 - $250

Company & Trust Annual Accounts, Income Tax Returns and Minutes: $900 - $2,500

Income Tax Returns for self employed individuals and investors (incl Rentals): $500 - $1,800

MINIMISE YOUR FEES
Keeping your fees at the lowest rate possible is important to JL Accounting, and you can do a lot to help this happen.

Remember you are being billed on an hourly basis - the easier it is to read and understand the information that you provide, the quicker the requested service will be performed.

Refer to the Information Request you receive and provide information as requested and in a form that can be easily used.

Choose an accounting system, either manual or computerised, that you can understand and that enables you to do as much of the bookkeeping work as you have time for. JL Accounting can assist you with this.

Talk to us before making major decisions so you will know the tax implications ahead of time, and make sure that you set up the deal appropriately for your tax situation; it will save you in fees later if all of the documents are in proper order.

Write down as many of your questions that you can think of to keep your meeting organised and flowing smoothly. Taking time to prepare for your visit can save you money! Take notes when you are talking with your accountant so you will not have to ask the same question again during a subsequent meeting.
